Los Angeles Metrolink Engineer May Have Been Texting
September 14, 2008 – 12:48 pmNews reports indicate that the train engineer in the Los Angeles Metrolink accident may have been texting on his cellphone in the moments before the train crash. A teenage railfan reportly told a CBS2 news reporter that he received a text message from the Metrolink engineer about one minute before the train wreck. Metrolink has confirmed that the engineer ran through a red signal which should have warned him that there was another train approaching.
